Creative Convos - Concept and Branding

Brief: Create the branding and visual identity for a week of creative talks at LAU. The concept must be able to be transferred in print and digital to work in a variety of social media platforms.

Collaborative project with Sammy Harpin and James Green.

Must be consistent

Branding:

Letting the type do the work.
Using Avant Garde and applying alternative glyphs to the 'w' and 'v' in order to make the type visually engaging.

PRINT

Promo Posters to be distributed around the University to raise awareness of the week of talks.
We duotoned the images in order to keep the identity consistent and recognisable.

Converted the posters into a square format for Instagram to demonstrate how the identity can be transferred into a variety of formats. These can be posted on the LAU graphic design Instagram page in order to increase awareness but also show the world what our institution is doing.

We made Instagram videos in order to convey all information in an engaging way. The Gif format allowed us to provide examples of the professionals work in order to give the viewer more context into the type of work from each studio/professional.

DINES:

Rose Nordin:

Robot Food:

The Elephant Room

The Pop Up Agency

Intern Takeover:

Each day we summarised what we'd learnt and experienced from the professionals:

Day 1: Dines

Day 2: Rose Nordin

Day 3: Robot Food

Day 4: The Elephant Room

Day 5: The Pop Up Agency

Final Roundup

In order to make the trip more memorable and worthwhile for the professionals, we created a poster series that we can give to each professional. This being a collaborative project, we took this as an opportunity to flex our own design skills and reflect our own personal style using the branding.
