OUGD602 - Writing about my work

Need to be clear about its meaning
What is it responding to, trying to solve, improving or communicating?

What, how and why?

Getting my work onto design blogs such as It's Nice That, Design Booooom and Creative Review will be extremely beneficial for getting my work into the real world, gaining exposure and further opportunities. In order to do increase the chance of it being published on these blogs, it is important to set up professional images of the work (ready for online publishing) as well as providing a sufficient explanation and motives. The more work you do for them, the more likely it'll be published.

What is it responding to, trying to solve, improving or communicating?

I applied this to some of my projects from last year. It is important not to ramble, being specific to the what, how and why will communicate professionalism and show how objective my practice is.

How does it work?

Spread over a range of platforms from screen to print, the campaign aims to reach a wide audience in order to increase their awareness and understanding of ballet by providing definitions to jargon and the behind the scenes of the production.

Creating a narrative connection using language and movement

Using language and movement to convey the grace and discipline of the artform.
